I went to see a porno this past weekend. Well really it was Zack and Miri Make a Porno. The movie starred Seth Rogan as Zack & Elizabeth Banks as Miri. In the movie Zack and Miri are roommates who have known each other since childhood. Neither of them are really motivated, and it shows in they’re lifestyle. The bills are piling up and neither seems to really care until they start to have they’re utilities turned off. Broke and with no means to make the money to keep they’re bills paid, they decide to make a porno. It sounds like a good money making idea, until the two of them start to realize that they have had feelings for one another all these years.

Now I am a big fan of Seth Rogan, after seeing him in such movies as “Knocked Up” and “Pineapple Express”, so I thought this movie would follow in the hilarious ways his previous movies have been. I was somewhat disappointed. The movie is filled with male and female genital phases, and a lot of other curses words, but that’s about as fulfilling as it gets. The movie is kind of boring, and there are not a lot of really funny scenes you can do with nude people, who Knew?!? The movie also stars Jason Mewes, from the “Jay and Silent Bob” movie which was only fitting being it was written by Kevin Smith aka Silent Bob. Also in the movie is Craig Robinson as “Delaney”. He was just in “Pineapple Express” with Rogan, so I guess he’s part of Rogan’s little group of actors he likes to have in his movies. There’s also a cameo by the foul mouthed Indian actor Gerry Bednob (II) who was in “40 Year Old Virgin” again with Rogan. I have to say that this was Rogan’s first miss as a comedy, but at least he didn’t write it, so I can’t put all the blame on him. I give this movie 1 money shot out of 4. If you’ve ever watched a porno, you’d know what the money shot is. LOL The movie was rated R for strong crude sexual content including dialogue, graphic nudity and pervasive language. It ran 1 hour and 41mins. It was written and directed by Kevin Smith. It was distributed by Dimension Films, The Weinstein Company. It was produced by View Askew Productions

When you’re at the point where you can’t pay your bills, don’t make a porno. Ezo
