Outdoors adventuring is on the rise with tons of people now enjoying the fresh air of nature more. Part of this has to do with the current situation of the world with many of us now taking road trips instead of flying. I know for my family, for instance, we’ve put off flying altogether and have done way more outdoorsy type things than we’ve ever done in the past. With that said, I started looking more and more into outdoor type gear and one such piece of equipment is the BioLite FirePit.
A fire pit is great for camping for instance as it not only helps keep you warm at night, but they help contain the fire so you don’t have any nasty accidents. The BioLite FirePit does this in a self-contained metal enclosure, but it’s not an ordinary enclosure. The BioLite FirePit creates hyper-efficient flames with patented airflow technology. The secret comes from the rechargeable Powerpack that in combination with the 51 airjets, injects the fire with oxygen, creating a more uniform temperature and mixing of gases inside the fire which dramatically improves combustion. Not only that, but the BioLite FirePit is also smokeless and able to create flames with very little to no smoke.

The fuel source you can use is can be a number of things, such as firewood logs, wood chips, newspaper, and charcoal. What fuel you use depends on what you’re using the BioLite FirePit for.
As a standard fire pit, you’re really only going to use wood type fuels. This is what’s recommended and creates the best fires. If you’re going to use the BioLite FirePit for grilling, it’s as easy as adding the included grill grate and tossing in some charcoal.
Cleanup is simple but takes some time. You will have to wait until most of your fuel burns out. If you don’t, the body of the FirePit will still be pretty hot. You can’t use water either or it could cause damage to your FirePit. After it’s all cooled down, you can start the process of disassembling and cleaning. Just remove the grill grate if used and then the fuel rack. Both can be cleaned with a wire brush. The bottom of the FirePit can be cleaned with a brush at first. There is a small trap door at the bottom of the FirePit that you can open and then brush all the ash and coal out through it. You can also use a damp towel to further clean it if necessary.
In terms of construction and build, the BioLite FirePit is actually very nice. The all metal body and feels really strong and solid along with all the accessories that come with it. The fuel rack and grilling rack are very well made though after you use them, expect some discoloration from the heat and usage. The FirePit also has metal legs that you can open out and lock into place and you’ll need an even, level ground to place them on. Note that some mild assembly is required but it’s nothing difficult. Basically you just need to attach the handles to the body.

Aside from the metal body, you’ll also need to attach the Powerpack. This just clips into place on the front and can also be easily detached when you’re done. The Powerpack does need to be charged, via USB and it’s best to do this before you use the FirePit.
If you want to pick up the BioLite FirePit, the base package as it stands is already a great setup, but there are accessories that extend the functionality of it. There’s a Starter Kit that includes the FirePit, a carry case, FireMat, and a Fire Poker. You can also pick up the Cooking Kit which includes the FirePit, a Griddle, Grill Lid, and the Prep & Grill Tool-Kit, along with a Cookbook. You can also pick up just the FirePit Cook Accessories Kit on its own if you already own a FirePit.

So with that said, the BioLite FirePit is a pretty amazing pickup if you enjoy the outdoors, whether it be just having cozy nights around a fire or grilling up some food outside. Its high-quality construction should last you years as long as you take good care of it and remember to clean it after use. There’s much to like about BioLite FirePit and I know that I’ve enjoyed my time with it. In fact, I can’t wait until the next time I get to use this again.
The BioLite FirePit is available now for $249.95 with other bundles and accessories adding on to that base price. You can grab yourself a BioLite FirePit here on Amazon.
