it’s about that time, Marvel has begun promoting its 2019 slate of films. This week we’re kicking off with, “Captain Marvel” with academy award winner Brie Larson as Carol Danvers.
The twenty-first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the film is written and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Half Nelson, Sugar). Set in the early ’90s, we finally get to dive into that unseen period in Marvel Cinematic history. Following the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. Marvel President Kevin Feige himself described Captain Marvel as, “more powerful than any character we’ve introduced thus far,”
While behind the scenes, the cast and crew of Captain Marvel recently went back to film some pick-up scenes. Actress Gemma Chan (Crazy Rich Asians) who plays Minn-Erva, recently posted on Instagram showing a bit more detail to her character and costume, that many haven’t seen before.
Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is produced by Kevin Feige with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Patricia Whitcher, and Stan Lee as the executive producers.
Carol Danvers is #CaptainMarvel, coming to theaters March 8, 2019.
