Today ZTE unveiled the next iteration of their Axon line with the Axon 7. Rather then call it the Axon 2, the Axon 7 is aptly named for it being the 7th flagship to come from ZTE all the way from the Grand S1. In ZTE fashion, the Axon will give you high end premium specs at a fraction of the price compared to the competitors.
Its pretty spec’d out with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Android 6.0, 5.5″in WQHD AMOLED display, 3250mAh battery, dual front speakers, 4GB RAM w/ 64GB storage(also available 6GB RAM, 128GB storage), and a 20MP camera with an interesting 8MP on the front. ZTE is also touting their audio quality with packing Dolby Atmos surround sound into the speakers.
Other interesting tidbits is the ZTE Axon 7 wil be using Type C, have a dual sim tray and should support AT&T/T-Mobile out the box. Verizon/Sprint will possibly be later down the pipeline. ZTE also says its one of the first to support Google’s upcoming Daydream VR service. BMW’s DesignWorks team assisted in the overall design of the Axon 7 which looks like they took some time to get together.
