White Nexus 7 Now Available with Google Play Edition Sony Z Ultra, & LG G Pad 8.3

Google has expanded their Google Play Edition portfolio today with first time additions from Sony with the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and LG with the LG G Pad 8.3. This presents two large sized devices in which we have a tablet from LG which is $350 and a smartphone from Sony which comes in at $649.00. The Sony Z Ultra is fully unlocked and works with a host of LTE bands which would make this a win for AT&T and T-Mobile users at best.

What’s best about these two devices is they are baked in with Android’s latest Kitkat 4.4 software. So no waiting for the carriers or hardware makers to push through with those updates that can take forever to get. The LG G Pad is a interesting release as its the first tablet to be added to the Google Play Edition store now sitting side to side with Google’s own Nexus 7 & 10 tablets.

Also not be outdone, Google has released a white colorway of their highly popular Nexus 7 that has only been seen thus far in black only. There isnt any hardware or software changes with this 32GB only model version. Also besides there not being a 16GB option it only comes via WIFI style. It would be a nice color to match up with say your Nexus 5 or any other white smartphones you have perhaps. You can grab it on their site now at $269.00.
