Today is the day folks, rumors of a Google Nexus tablet have been resolved. The Nexus 7 is looking like the tablet to get. Think about it, directly touched by Google so when the next OS comes out you shouldn’t have to wait to get it, 7 inches in size which I’ve been saying for awhile now is the ideal tablet size, and with a $199 price point!

This thing looks light, portable, and stylish (I say “looks” as we’ll see when I see it in person). It is packing HD at 1200×800 resolution. Battery time is looking good with a claimed 8 hours of video playback (enough to get through most flights), 10 hours of web browsing or e-reading, and 300 hours of stand by. This thing is looking like it should last a decent amount of time. And then the kicker it will come with Google Jellybean 4.1 OS already loaded. It also looks like maybe moving forward Chrome for Android will be the default browser, as the Nexus will have Chrome pre-installed on it.

If that wasn’t enough, that price point is excellent. At $199 it puts the Nexus 7 right into a stand off with the Amazon Kindle Fire. Honestly if I had to choose between Nexus and Fire, hands down I’m all in with the Nexus 7! So it has a killer price and comes with goodies like a copy of Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon. Now I love Transformers so this added perk is sweet. In addition to that there will be some other goodies included. So what are you waiting for?

You can pre-order now with a delivery some time in July. I know I’m getting one are you?
