The biggest fashion trend, still hitting the runaways during fashion week is color blocking. Now you can carry you phone in style with the Case-Mate Universal Kayla Clutch. It fits most devices, including all iPhones, BlackBerrys, HTC phones and other popular devices. The genuine leather clutch combines this season’s color block style and a protective case for a chic and convenient way to carry your device.
The clutch can be used with the with the detachable metallic chain in a purse style or with the leather waist wrap. I used it during Social Media Week to keep my phone close to me while handling multiple gadgets and found it not only a fashion stand ( I had a lot of ladies ask me about it) but also very useful.
An outer pouch with a magnetic closure secures your device, and makes it easily accessible. I used it to hold the bigger end smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S ll and had not issue getting phone in and out as needed. The zip-around compartment includes credit card slots, ID holder and coin pouch. The only downfall is that you can’t fit very many brands of lip gloss unless you get the flat, slim pod type.
I would suggest also treating the leather so as you wear it the leather can be easily cleaned off. You will bump into walls, bars, etc and that can lead to a bit of fading in the color. On mine the red outer magnetic closure within about five days turned more a darker pink color.
The clutch comes in seven different color combos, all adding a bit a flare wit your wardrobe while keeping your phone safe and a hands reach away. Designs offered: Blush, Forest, Raven, Onyx, Sapphire (pictured), Slate, and Rose. Unfortunately, I tried to keep the cover on my phone and tried a few different slim cases but they wouldn’t allow phone to fit inside the outer pouch. So you’ll probably have to remove your phone case before using it. Case-Mate rep, actually suggested the Barely There Case, though I haven’t tried that one yet.
The maximum specs for compatible devices: Length 4.875 inches (12.4cm), Width 2.625 inches (6.7cm), Depth 0.5 inches (1.3 cm). Note: the Samsung Droid Charge will not fit in the Kayla clutch.
