Is AT&T Intentionally Hiding the HTC Aria? *Updated*

*Updated* Looks like you can finally see the HTC Aria is you do Shop Phone, but weird when I went to the main page, it showed the “Coming Soon” image on the main page.

Ok here is the deal, yesterday AT&T released the Aria and since this was the first Android device on the carrier that actually looked good, I decided I wanted to get it. So there I was on Sunday morning on the AT&T website and on the main page there was the HTC Aria coming soon button. When I clicked on it, the coming soon page was now available now and it even had an Buy Now mode.

I stepped away for about 15 minutes and when I came back and refresh the page, the homepage no longer had the coming soon announcement. No problem I thought, I’ll just goto Shop Phones and see it there. So I shop phones, and then chose HTC from the narrow search and what is this only the HTC Tilt2 and HTC Pure reburb was there. It is as if the Aria doesn’t exist at all. What is up with that? So I did a little digging, I did a search on the AT&T page for the HTC Aria and the first result was the announcement page. So enough when I clicked on this I was back on the Aria now available page and had the option to buy it.

Seem strange to say the least. I mean yes the iPhone 4 is coming, so I can understand maybe not marketing this device, but to make it hard to find. What gives with that. I mean to have it missing for the Shop Phones area is a little weird. Has anyone else notice you can’t find it unless you search for it? AT&T what is up with that?

You know what is there though, the BACKFLIP, which is what the rep over the phone tried to push me on when I called to find out about the Aria….
