Ryan Leslie–Transition [Deluxe]
It is very rare for a new artist to drop their debut and their sophomore album in the same year and itr is equally as rare for the sophomore album to be worth purchasing. Although, in my opinion this album doesn’t outshine the first it is a solid follow up. I can hear the growth in his production but lyrically I felt like he regressed.
The Deluxe edition will serve as a great stocking stuffer for any music lover or R Les fan. This edition comes with 3 bonus tracks, “When We Dance”, “Promise Not To Call’ and “Rescue You”. It also comes with a DVD that includes a video for the song Zodiac and some behind the scenes footage of the production genius at work. It makes it worth the extra couple of dollars and even if you’re buying one as a gift for someone else you should also gift one for yourself. Even though most people feel like he could have combined both albums and just made one hot album he is still a force to be reckoned with in the game and after hus debut and work with other artists was so solid we’ve come to expect alot more from Mr. Leslie than we do from most artists. So with that being said this is one of the better albums dropped in 2009.
