wolverine3_large So this past weekend brought us the origin of one of the most popular X-Men members, Wolverine. In the movie Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Wolverine, the mean tempered always ready for a fight member of the X-Men. The story tells of how Wolverine went from being just a somewhat regular mutant to becoming the indestructible powerhouse super hero he is in the X-Men universe.

This was the first origin story of an X-Men member and by far the most recognizable member of the team. It showed how James Logan (Hugh Jackman ) and his brother Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber) became Wolverine and Sabretooth. It also had a lot of cameos of other known and some unknown mutants from the X-Men universe. This was a great adaptation of the back story of how Wolverine came to be the savage, no holds barred member of the famed group of super mutants. I think Hugh and Liev gave great performances in this movie. I don’t want to give much away, because anyone who has read the comics of Wolverine knows that there is a lot of history behind this character. But I will say that they did a great job with this take on his beginnings. The action is nonstop, and there are way too many mutants to name.

The movie also shows how Wolverine’s love for Emma Frost (Tahyna Tozzi) is the deciding factor in him participating in the Weapon X program which put’s a metal alloy Adamantium over his body’s skeleton making him indestructible. He wants to use this new technology to fight his brother Sabretooth who has killed his one true love. Like I said the movie has enough action for any Marvel comic lover to enjoy and with an opening of $160 million worldwide in its first weekend that point was proven without a doubt. I give this movie 3 ½ Adamantium claws out of 4. The movie ran 1 hour and 47mins. It’s rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action and violence, and some partial nudity. It was written by Skip Woods and David Benioff. It was directed by Gavin Hood. It was produced by Seed Productions, Donners Company. It was distributed by 20th Century Fox Distribution.

You may run into a lot of mutants in your life, but none as cool as Wolverine. Ezo
