DroidBerry Theme by Jason Calhoun

droidberry Now you know there was going to be a Android Theme out there at some point. I caught wind of one by Jason Calhoun, so I shot out a email to him to check out his version of the Android theme. Now while we have put a ban on any more iPhone like theme here at G Style Magazine, an Android one is ok as this is new and fresh on the scene. But trust if they start coming out of the woodwork, then we’ll put a ban on them too lol. So Jason’s DroidBerry is very nice in it’s design. The theme had the look and feel of the Android down pack, right to the pop up menu area like the device itself.

The DroidBerry theme features an L shape home screen which is user customizable. No while I don’t mind an L shape, I probably would have preferred a bottom dock, but that is just me. The icons are perfect, found no issues with the icon and the signal & battery meters came out good, they look just like an Android device.

I feel like how the pop up menu was done. Usually when you go from home screen to main screen the actual look switches in a manner that you know the screen has changed. With the DroidBerry, it looks almost seamless, it looks as if it actually popped up. I think I would have liked it even better if it slide out from the side instead of the bottom, but it works well and seamless so I have no complains!

Jason has really nailed down the look of the Android operating system, there is nothing negative I can say about this theme. Sure there are some minor changes I’d would of liked in it that would of made it even better, but these are improvement suggestions, not flaws. The DroidBerry theme is great if you want to give your Blackberry a different look. He sells this theme for $7.00 (though at the time of this posting it is on sale for $6.00) and it is made for the Bold. You can pick it up at www.jasoncalhoun.com
