The Weekly Recap 9/8 – 9/12

This is the second week in a row where Kanye West tops our Weekly Recap list. I wonder if he is working overtime to kick start the attention before his next album coming this year. Keep reading to recap what Kanye is up to this time and more.

Kanye West Arrested After Fight At The Airport.
Sometimes it just doesn’t pay to be a photographer whose job is to get the pictures of the celeb. Especially someone with a temper like Kanye West. Apparently Kanye smashed some expensive camera equipment of said photographer and I can empathize with him as I’m a lover of gadgets, that had to hurt. Now I’ve heard this story from 3 different sources and they all seem conflict in who got arrested with him. Was it his Manager, Bodyguard, or someone else. Check what [Billboard] has to say for more. In other Kanye West news, it is said his album is due to come in December according to a listing on [Amazon]

Beyonce Is Back!
Baddest chick in the game, check. Now married to the king of Hip Hop, check. Beyonce and Jay Z seem to be the King and Queen of the Hip Hop/R&B movement. Jay-Z is dropping his “The Blue Print 3” album and Beyonce is set to drop her newest album November 18th. Not yet titled, this album will be coming out of Music World Music/Columbia and is the follow up to her 2006 B-Day album which sold 3.2 million. Check out more at [Billboard]

Research In Motion & TiVo Coming Together
Does this mean we can watch TiVo on a Blackberry? One might of got excited and thought this, but currently it seem as we’ll only be able to remote schedule some recordings from our Blackberry. That’s ok, but I know I’m looking for some place shifting love, especially since there has been no word on that SlingPlayer application for the Blackberry. Check out more at [BGR]

Paying Too Much For Text Messaging, The Government is On To It
It seems that text messaging gets more expensive each year though for the carriers the cost to them isn’t rising, so why are they jacking up the prices. Well at least a Senator is taking notice. Senator Herb Kohl, chair of the antitrust subcommittee has sent a letter to all the major carrier with just this question in mind. Check out more at [Reuters]

The Blackberry Bold is Coming, October?
It seems [BGR] got a hold of some internal AT&T documents that might suggest that finally the Blackberry Bold will drop here in the US. Check them for the rest.

T-Mobile Finally Joints The 3G Bandwagon
It’s only good to be late to the party if your going to be “fashionably” late. Now late to the fact that everyone is moving on to the after party spot. This seems to be exactly what T-Mobile has done. While the other major carriers are already talking about 4G, T-Mobile is just kicking off their 3G network. They have flipped the switch in Philly. Any Philly heads out there enjoying their 3G good yet? Check out more at [TmoNews]
