What can I say to wrap the year up? This has been a great year for G Style Magazine. I have been running G Style Magazine for 3 years now, one year with us being on hiatus for 9 months when the birth of daughter came. This year was the reactivation of G Style. We switched to the WordPress platform in October 2007, and we have never looked back. We will end this year with over some 400+ posts, and will have even more to come in the 2009.

This year also seen our addition to the channel library of Viigo and a page on Facebook. Also us celebrating our 3rd anniversary in the business, and what a celebration it was that month. We ended that month with over 20,000 visitors, launched our mobile site (http://m.gstylemag.com), released our first Blackberry theme, the Generation One thanks to our friends at eVeek.com, and even gave away one of the new iPod Nanos that had just came out thanks to Apple. It was a great month!

It was also a great year as we grew our readers by an amazing and still unbelievable 850% !! That was amazing, what started with a simple post with a exclusive picture of Diddy & Cassie, turned into new viewers who liked what we were doing, kept coming back and also told others and our base grew! We have to thank you all for the support and hope you keep supporting us in the 2009.

We also saw a lot happen this year in CE. There was the launch of the first Android based mobile phone the T-Mobile G1, the second coming of the Apple iPhone, now with 3G. Then there was the best Blackberry to ever been built so far, the Blackberry Bold. There was also Michael Phelps winning in all his HD glory, and so many others, this was a great year for CE. And we can’t wait to see what the new year brings!

So what is there to look forward to in the 2009? First that we will continue to bring you what is hot, trendy, stylish, & fashionable in consumer technology. That is our mandate, and we will live and die by it! Also we will dive in video more, now is the perfect time. YouTube has gone HD, Vimeo does HD, even our page on Facebook does it, so now is the time to put out more videos, since we can do them in HD and HD is just cool! We will also keep that video going with our "Did You See…This Week Series?" Where we shows cools does that were in HD that week, with summaries and even the episode in the post, so if you missed it you can catch up.

So again thank you for supporting us and thank you for being apart of this movement! May you have a wonderful Christmas & a very happy and safe New Years. We will see you guys in the 2009!

Batman: The Dark Knight Sells 1.7 million In One week

On second thought we think we’ll just talk about Black Friday. Nothing seems too interesting beyond everyone waiting for this day. We’ll basically run through some sales that might be of interest. Some of you if you wasn’t like our Publisher who camped out since 12am, probably won’t be making out with any of these items, but some especially like software can still be purchase all day today and throughout the weekend.

Circuit City
Despite them filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and closing some 155 stores, they are still hoping to make some money still and have a ton of items on sale. Their said is from today till Saturday, so head over to a Circuit City near you (if that store hasn’t closed already that is) or hope online here [Circuit City]

Vizio on Black Friday
Was you looking to buy a HDTV this season, Vizio has some good items. Vizio’s 19-inch VA19 LCD is being offered for just $199.99 at Costco through December 7th, while the 32-inch VP322 plasma (pictured) is going for $437 at Walmart since November 26th. There’s also the 37-inch VW37 LCD HDTV for $499.99 at Costco, the 32-inch 1080p VOJ32LF LCD for $559.99 at Sears and the 42-inch 1080p VS420 for $698 at Sam’s Club.

Nokia E71 Coming to AT&T as the E71x?

That would be interesting and it needs to after AT&T dropped that ugly bomb on us back in the way with the Nokia E61! Who could forget that horrible thing called a smartphone. Bad Form Verizon Wireless, Bad Form
Verizon Wireless had a Blackberry Storm challenge in Times Square, NYC yesterday to which people could try to win a Storm by collecting 7 Blackberry Storm cards in a wind tunnel. Well apparently after a long streak of no one winning, it seems there wasn’t enough Blackberry Storm cards. Upon adding 25 more cards, 2 people right after that one. The HTC Touch Pro Launches on AT&T aka The AT&T Fuze

Could Lupe Fiasco Last Album be the END?

The End of Circuit City Approaching?
At what has to be consumer electronic lovers, another titan in the game, could be at it’s end. Jamie Foxx To Return With ‘Intuition’

The T-Mobile Blackberry Pearl Flip Gets Pricing
I’m sorry but I still like the Blackberry KickStart name, so I’m going to get using it lol. The Kickstart has now gotten some pricing information on it running $149.99 for a new activation on a 2 year contract and then varying pricing based on 1 or 2 year contract and whether you are a new activation or a upgrading existing customer. This is also the week before G Style Magazine turns 3. Yes next week, October 1st G Style will celebrate it’s 3rd anniversary. MySpace Music Offers Free Music
Starting September MySpace Music will allow you to listen to music from all the big labels (being ad supported of course) This is at least a beginning step in te right direction. This is something I’m still waiting for. I have been a fan of SlingBox for a long time now but am still waiting for their client for the Blackberry. They are however now shipping the SlingBox Pro HD. 50 Cent is at it again
Speaking of 50 Cent, it seems he is again trying to release a album at the same time as Kanye. I guess you can call this the rematch since Kanye did better than him before. I wonder how this one will unfold. An Interscope representative confirms 50′s “Before I Self Destruct” will arrive Dec. 9, while West’s “808′s and Heartbreak” is due Dec. 16 via Def Jam.
