Could this be the Blackberry 9000?

Blackberry 9000

Just came across this image. Some think it may be Blackberry’s new 9000 model, but aren’t too sure. It looks to have a aluminum casing and a side external SD memory card.

If this is indeed the Blackberry 9000, it doesn’t look too bad at all, and may be purchase worthy depending on what new features they plan to have in there. But then again, could this just be a clever fake. Stay tuned!

HD Review: Ocean’s Thirteen

What are the odds of getting even? Danny Ocean and the gang would have only one reason to pull off their most ambitious and riskiest casino heist–to defend one of their own. But they’re going to need more than luck on their side to break The Bank. Ruthless casino owner Willy Bank never imagined that the odds were against him when he double-crossed Danny Ocean’s friend and mentor Reuben Tishkoff, putting the distraught Reuben in a hospital bed in critical condition. But Bank miscalculated–badly. He may have taken down one of the original Ocean’s eleven, but he left the others standing and, worse for him, gave them a shared purpose: to take Bank down on the night of what should be his greatest triumph–the grand opening of his new casino, appropriately named The Bank. Their strategy is twofold. First they will ruin him financially by turning the tables on the precept that the house always wins. But that’s just money. The knockout punch will be to Bank’s personal pride and joy: his reputation as the only hotelier who has earned the Royal Review Board’s Five Diamond Award on every single one of his hotels. The plan is elaborate, dangerous and damn near impossible–but there are no limits when it comes to one of their own.

Ocean’s Thirteen was the third installment of the Oceans’ collection. I thought it was just as witty as the last two with jam packed action and comedy. The dialog between Brad Pitt and George Clooney Characters’ are hilarious as usual. The chemistry between all the actors make this HD-DVD worth watching. The Image and Audio quality is greatly displayed on HD-DVD. The crisp detailing will keep your eyes locked in and the sound quality is also an attention grabber. Overall I rate this HD-DVD a 5 out of 5 because plain and simple, it was just that good. So be sure to add Oceans Thirteen to your collection.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh. With George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Bernie Mac, Andie Garcia, Don Cheadle, and Al Pachino

HD Review: The Kingdom

When a terrorist bomb detonates inside a Western housing compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an international incident is ignited. While diplomats slowly debate equations of territorialism, FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury quickly assembles an elite team and negotiates a secret five-day trip into Saudi Arabia to locate the madman behind the bombing. Upon landing in the desert kingdom, however, Fleury and his team discover Saudi authorities suspicious and unwelcoming of American interlopers into what they consider a local matter. Hamstrung by protocol-and with the clock ticking on their five days-the FBI agents find their expertise worthless without the trust of their Saudi counterparts, who want to locate the terrorist in their homeland on their own terms. Fleury’s crew finds a like-minded partner in Saudi Colonel Al-Ghazi, who helps them navigate royal politics and unlock the secrets of the crime scene and the workings of an extremist cell bent on further destruction. With these unlikely allies sharing a propulsive commitment to crack the case, the team is led to the killer’s front door in a blistering do-or-die confrontation. Now in a fight for their own lives, strangers united by one mission won’t stop until justice is found in The Kingdom.

The Kingdom was a great movie to watch in HD, not too long and not short of a movie. Though the film wasn’t as impressive as other HD movies, certain moments in the movie like the beads of sweat on Jamie Foxx’s character displayed the power of HD. The film was slow to get to the real action, starting off with a bang and then mellowing out until towards the end of the movie. There were good amounts of comedy throughout from Jason Bateman’s character and other cast members. Overall I would give this film a 4 out of 5 and think it would make a good addition to your HD movie collection.

Directed by Peter Berg. With Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Jennifer Garner, and Jason Bateman.

Quest to build a Sweet Entertainment Center Part 3 (Superb Sound)

By VerSe On December 24th, 2007

It has been some time for this part of the quest. So much research has been put into finding the right sound system. First there was the matter of price, was I going to spend upwards of 1000+, somewhere midrange of $500-600, or go with bargain. And let’s not forget style is still a major factor here, as this wouldn’t be G Style if it wasn’t.

Onkyo System

I decided after much research and pure luck running into this, I went with the Onkyo HTSR800S. After much research online, I discovered this to be a great brand. Now while I ran into the black version of this model, the silver had more style to it. This model is a Surround Sound 7.1 system, which consist of 7 speakers and a big subwoofer. This model also includes a microphone that the system uses to calibrate all the speakers for you, so each gives the best sound for the room. And all this cost $399.99 at J&R in New York City. You might be able to still find it there, but if not most places are selling it for $499.99. This system pumps out a total 1000 Watts of power and I must say from my beginning tests, this model is a steal for the price.

Onkyo Reciever

So now I have the 7.1 Surround Sound system to go with the HDTV, and the Media streamer. I’m almost complete in my quest. Next I must decide, which side of the format war I’m going to go with…HD-DVD or Blu Ray! As you can’t complete a sweet entertainment center without picking a HD movie player to complete the rest of this HD equipment. Stay tuned
