So this past weekend, Mel Gibson came back to the big screen after an almost 8 year leave, in the movie “Edge of Darkness”. The movie is about a veteran homicide cop named Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson), who is so happy to be having his daughter Emma (Bojana Novakovic) coming back home to spend some time with him. On the night of her arrival, Emma gets sick and as they are about to go to the hospital, she is shot dead right in front of Craven. Craven, being a cop for so many years believes that he was the initial target of the assassination. As he starts to investigate the case, he soon learns that his daughter was caught up in a corrupt corporate cover-up that may have been the reason for her murder.

So this weekend brought the second religion based movie to theaters, after last week’s “Book of Eli”. This one revolves around an archangel named Michael (Paul Bettany), who comes to earth to try and stop God’s wrath on mankind. Following closely behind him are other angels who are bent on bringing the apocalypse. In an out of the way diner in the desert, there’s a waitress named Charlie (Adrianne Palicki), who is 8 months pregnant with a child she doesn’t intend on keeping. Michael must make sure this child is born, if he is to stop God’s intentions. With the help of some unfortunate strangers who get stuck at the diner, they must all join forces to stop the onslaught of demons on their way to kill Charlie and her unborn child. If that isn’t enough, another archangel named Gabriel (Kevin Durand) is also on his way to earth in an attempt to kill this child.

Denzel is back and he’s on a mission. In his new movie Denzel Washington plays Eli, a man who has been walking for 30 years across what’s left of America after the final war. It’s a wasteland of ruined cities, demolished highways, and cannibalistic gangs ruling the roadways. Eli is on a mission to deliver the last Bible in existence to a safe place out west.

Cocky Culture gives your Berry a “Revelation”

"Revelation" has a old look to it. It reminds me of seeing newspapers back in the old days with the crazy headlines, letting you know something big was happening. The dark blue background plastered with old news articles, and the icons remind me of that from a comic strip for some reason. I believe its the "bubble font" look it entails. The "gothic" font they used hails back to the old days also.

The way the homescreen is set up i'm never going to have to go into the Applications/Icons screen with this theme from Elecite.com called "Liquid". I'm guessing its called that based on how fluid it moves. Liquid has seven customizable slots, which six on the bottom and one is dedicated in the middle. Must people usually that as the "weather slot" but I vary on that or my BBM depends on the theme for me. On the top we have 6 dedicated slots for you which are Message, Calendar, Call Log, Profile, Manage Connections, and also a "Quick Launch" button. This button has 3 slots for Myspace, Twitter, and Facebook. Now I haven't had a problem with Facebook and Myspace working through it but I have with Twitter. I'm not sure if it has to be a certain Twitter app or what. I have read others having similar problems. Other than that its pretty cool as I use FB a lot on my Blackberry.
