Beginning with the first Iron Man movie, this chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been more than a decade in the making, leading up to Avengers: Infinity War. With the success of Guardian of the Galaxy 2, Spider-Man Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok and most recently Black Panther making it to the 20 films of all time, it’s been a great year for Marvel. The follow-up is gearing up to be one epic event in itself.

Recently confirmed by Scarlett Johansson, the film takes place two to three years after the events of Captain America: Civil War (and Black Panther). Avengers: Infinity War unites the crew of the Guardians of the Galaxy and the split teams of the Avengers against the mad titan Thanos. If the name seems familiar, he was first teased as a post credit scene in the first Avengers film and explored a bit more in Guardians of the Galaxy. Audiences can currently still catch Black Panther in theaters now, Avengers: Infinity War arrives in just over a month, and tickets are on sale NOW.
