VRTIFY AND DIGITAL MIND STATE ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF URBANWORLD MUSIC

The first of its kind AV/AR music channel for Hip Hop and Urban entertainment artists: “VR MEETS SOUL”

LOS ANGELES – JANUARY 23, 2017 – Digital Mind State and VRTIFY are proud to announce the partnership and launch of UrbanWorld Music. Powered by VRTIFY, this is the first of its kind AV/AR music channel to focus on Hip Hop and Urban Entertainment content.

Music ranks amongst the most popular content type in VR, which is consistent both creatively and technically as VR is perfect for quick viewing periods, enduring about the length of your average song. Hip Hop and Urban music generate more than $10 billion per year and according to SLMG’s research, its customer base is over 45 million Hip Hop consumers between the ages of 13 and 34. This group has $1 trillion in spending power and will play a key role in the adoption and consumption of VR content.

Together, the companies will leverage their respective strengths – including VRTIFY’s patented technology and Digital Mind State’s deep music expertise with both music labels and indie artists to drive innovation in VR/AR and Urban music. In advance of the upcoming launch of UrbanWorld Music, the companies are empowering musicians to create experiences, connections and immersions with immersive technologies and make this content available to consumers nationwide.

Joining this partnership, Digital Mind State names former CEO of Revolt TV Keith Clinkscales chairman of its new Advisory Board. Mr. Clinkscales has more than 30 years of experience using data and technology to transform companies and drive growth.

“I look forward to bringing new entertainment content to the VR space and tapping into new ways to connect brands and music content producers with VR fans,” added Keith Clinkscales.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Clinkscales helped launch Vibe Magazine with legendary music producer Quincy Jones, where he also served as CEO. Since leaving Vibe, Clinkscales has served as Senior Vice President & Head of Content Development for ESPN. Lastly, he served as CEO at Revolt TV which was founded by music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs as an entity of Comcast Corporation.

Other members of the advisory board range from music, payment solutions to consumer lifestyle brands. While they hail from a variety of backgrounds, the members are all experts and decision-makers in finding and creating disruption in the VR/AR market.
