Siri Can Control Your Lights via Homekit With Elgato’s Eve Light Switch

By - October 2016

eveElgato today announced the availability of the Eve Light Switch, the world’s first Homekit enabled light switch that can be controlled with Siri via voice control. The Eve Light Switch can transform any lighting setup into a Siri-enabled lighting system regardless of how your lights are currently set up.

“Controlling your light bulbs using Siri is a compelling experience, but up until now, you were out of luck if they were switched off at the wall,” said Markus Fest, General Manager of Elgato. “By integrating Bluetooth low energy technology into the wall switch itself, Eve Light Switch is the first HomeKit-enabled product that provides seamless access to your lights.”

With a clean, white wall plate for a minimalist, modern look; Eve Light Switch features a capacitive touch sensor to manually turn a light on or off. It replaces a single pole switch and is ready for DIY or professional installation. Thanks to Bluetooth low energy technology, Eve Light Switch does not require a gateway or bridge, and is totally immune to cyber attacks over the internet.

Eve Light Switch is available today for $49.95.
