While we do cover a ton of tech on the site sometimes we do enjoy to chill out and have a nice drink or two. With summer in full swing there is usually some nice outdoor venues to attend and at times soak in the sights. Last week I got a taste or should I say preview of “Secret Summer NYC” at “The Foundry” in Long Island City which is in the borough of Queens, NY.
Secret Summer NYC
Now reaching its 2nd year, Secret Summer is a farm-to-bar event that will feature some of the unique and freshest cocktails around. All ingredients are from Farm.One which grows all your produce right in their garden kitchen in Manhattan. While at the preview I was able to taste some of the herbs used in the drinks and they actually quite delightful with the different taste and flavors going on.
Secret Summer NYC will host some of the top drink brands around such as Woodford Reserve, Herradura, Rekorderlig Cider while mixing those with some delicious eats from food crafters such as Eddie’s Pizza, Big D’s Grub Truck, and the La Pulperia Agentinian with ice cream from Van Leeuwen.
There will also be a ping-pong table, tattoo stations, performances from bands such as “Lucky Chops”, “Ida Blue”, and “Coyote & Crows”. The event is setup by RAPT NY while the cocktails will be crafted by Bespoke Solutions.
Tickets are available via Eventbrite HERE and currently range between $125-150. But remember that does include cocktails, complimentary ice cream from Van Leeuwen and access to the festival programming.
