After worldwide success with last year’s Furious 7, Director James Wan returns to his horror roots with ‘The Conjuring 2’ (he is also created the “Saw” horror franchise). Much like it’s predecessor this film is also based on one of the paranormal case files of Ed and Lorraine Warren. This time focusing on their second most famous case “The Enfield Haunting” in the late 1970’s (Their most famous being “the Amityville Horror”).
Warner Bros. Pictures’ official summary for ‘The Conjuring 2’:
“The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.”
Clearing bringing back the trademark scares made famous from his ‘insidious’ series. Next for Wan is writing and directing DC’s Aquaman feature film, currently scheduled for 2018. ‘Conjuring 2’ scares its way back into theaters June 10th, 2016
