Otaku Gang’s “Life After Death Star” Mash Up/Mixtape: Biggie Vs Darth Vadar [Music Review]

By - December 2015

As the anticipation of Star Wars: The Force Awakens takes the level of geek-dom to it’s peak-dom (I know these aren’t words but follow me anyway lol) I thought I couldn’t get anymore hyped for the opening of the film on December 18th or December 17th for those lucky ones. These cats Richie Branson and Solar Slim aka Otaku Gang dropped one of the craziest and ridiculously fiyah mash up of Notorious B.I.G. and music from the motion picture Star Wars on Sound Cloud.

You know how Biggie used to slice up tracks? Well, this is Brooklyn’s own spittin’ metaphors lyrically swinging light sabers with bars like a true Jedi MC. Remember “Victory” from Puff Daddy & The Family‘s album “No Way Out?” I didn’t think it should be touched, but the Force was strong with this one. Some of the classics mashed up are bangers like Ten Crack Commandments, Long Kiss Goodnight and Party ‘N Buls**t just to name a few. So in my best Yoda impression, “Below give it a listen you should.”
