If you bought a PS4, Xbox ONE, PS Vita or 3DS last year or even early into this new year then you should be preparing yourself for the new releases. The first quarter game lineup should have you ready to drop some serious cash on a lot of great games. Here at G Style have picked some of the titles coming for February and March. This list and the trailers doesn’t signify all that will be available but the best of what will be available. Do you agree? Check it out below:

PS4 / Xbox ONE

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Snake is back in Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, and from what I can tell Hideo Kojima and his team have a great game for its hardcore fans. You can pretty much expect all of the same things you’ve gotten in every other Metal Gear rendition. A government plot, a super boss, covert operations and hours of play. It never gets boring though and I doubt this will so make sure you pick this one up.

Thief

Thief is a game similar to Assassin’s Creed in terms of its gameplay but yet they are very different. Thief is set in what looks like mid to late 1700’s or early 1800’s and it plays in first person perspective. In a nutshell, you’re a master thief as well as a contract thief and your mission well, could be anything. You can take on hired jobs or fight in a coup against an evil baron or both. Either way it’s up to you.

Tomb Raider:Definitive Edition  (Currently available)

Those who’ve played Tomb Raider on the original PS1 (I did, yikes I’m old) remember how much fun it was playing with Lara Croft, toting two guns while looking for treasure. Tomb Raider has had a few editions in the series afterwards and the tradition continues. She’s back for the Next Gen for PS4 and Xbox ONE. This one is currently available for purchase but it’s still one of the best games available right now.

The LEGO Movie Videogame

You have a great movie premiere and what do you do to compliment it? Make a great game based on the movie. Of course. Not too much to say here. If you’ve liked LEGO series games before then this should be another one to add to the list. The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game packed with the launches of the PS4 and Xbox ONE was great so I expect more of the same build and destroy fun here. Definitely a worthy pickup.

PS4 Exclusive

Infamous: Second Son

This is the third installment of the inFAMOUS series. The multi-capable, time warping, flame throwing shape shifting mutant is back for more. In this game you get to take advantage of some new abilities and of course added hours of gameplay and a great story. Check out the trailer below.

Xbox ONE Exclusive

Titanfall / Titanfall (Collector’s Edition)

Titanfall is probably THE most anticipated game for the Xbox ONE thus far. This is the game that I’m constantly hearing about. I saw the initial trailer and I watched the stream of actual gameplay during E3 and I’m impressed. I’ve never been very good at first person shooters but i love to play them and Titanfall is a must play, must have game. It involves oversized mechs, big guns, lots of ammo, great story, cut scenes, beautiful scenery all ready for the next gen Xbox ONE. Check it out.

PS Vita

Final Fantasy X & X2 HD Remaster

RPG’ers who’ve had the pleasure of playing the Final Fantasy Games know how good Final Fantasy X and X2 were when they were out for the PS2 years ago. PS Vita owners now have the chance to either play it for the first time or the nostalgic gamer like myself who must play this game again. It’s a game to have just because. It’s been remastered in HD and that beautiful OLED screen on the current PS Vita will make this game look great. An absolute must have

Borderlands 2

If you’ve ever played Borderlands and Borderlands 2 then you already know how visually stunning it is, the level of difficulty that makes it a great challenge, the weapons, the post-apocalyptic feel and the overall replay value. Now you can have that for the PS Vita. The PS Vita if not anything else is like having a mini PS3 on the go. It’s a powerhouse, and for those who own one this is a must have game. For those who weren’t sure if they should buy a PS Vita then let Borderlands 2 be an incentive to do so.

Nintendo 3DS

Bravely Default

The good folks over at Square Enix rarely make a bad RPG and Bravely Default proves that. This game is visually impressive with a great story and an innovative fighting system that forces you to have a unique strategy even for a turn based RPG. You should be able to get hours of play out of this game. Check out the trailer below.

Yoshi’s New Island

I can honestly say I’ve never been much of a fan of Yoshi’s Island but this installment for the Nintendo 3DS makes me change my mind. If it’s one thing Nintendo does really well is it’s the 2D Mario style adventure games and spinoffs. Although dealing with Yoshi and baby Mario add a little more difficulty to the game it by no means takes away from the fun. It’s why the 3DS is still the king of portables. They nail what they’re known for. Check it out.
