If there’s anything I’ve learned while PC gaming over the past year, it’s that mechanical keyboards seem to be the be-all and end-all of gaming keyboards. ROCCAT has always had great gaming keyboards, but never anything in the mechanical type and it’s been something fans have been asking for from them. ROCCAT will finally be able to offer hardcore gamers what they’ve been asking for with the release of their new Ryos Series mechanical gaming keyboards.
They will be releasing three Ryos keyboards, each more powerful than the next. The base model Ryos MK is equipped with the popular black Cherry MX key switches, a 32-bit ARM Cortex processor, and 2 MB of flash memory which allows for over 500 macros. Next up is the Ryos MK Glow which features everything the Ryos MK does, but includes full backlighting in the color blue. Lastly, there is the high end model, the Ryos MK Pro. What sets this model apart is that is that it includes an additional ARM Cortex processor which is responsible solely for handling the keyboard’s configurable per-key illumination. What that means is that depending on the game you are playing, you can set individual keys to light up differently from the rest for quicker response times. Not only that, the Ryos MK Pro also has integrated USB 2.0 hub and pass-through audio jacks.
