Spigen Leather Wallet SNAP case Samsung Galaxy S4 (5)

Wallet phone cases are interesting to have because if you’re a guy they kill two birds with one stone. You won’t have to take up two pockets and would also have everything in one place. While I have used some wallet cases for the Samsung Galaxy Note II I couldn’t see myself staying with one.

The SNAP Leather Wallet Case for the Samsung Galaxy S4 does offer a unique feature that have changed my mind a bit but how much so? Let’s take a look.

Style & Build

Spigen Leather Wallet SNAP case Samsung Galaxy S4 (1)
The Spigen SNAP Leather Wallet case is comprised of a genuine leather on the outside as well as the three storage slots for your cards. Under that you can add even more such as paper money, business cards, or more bank cards. Now my favorite feature about this wallet case is the holster that you place your S4 in is detachable. Doing so provides you with a slim smooth polycarbonate case which can be used separately. This is great for when you’re in the house and don’t want to lug around your wallet while you go to the kitchen or the bathroom. The hard case is likely good for a drop off your bed or kitchen counter. I don’t know how well it would hold up against some concrete.

Experience

While it does look good, it only works good depending how much use you put into it. If you’re going to put a couple of cards in it. Maybe a couple of dollar bills it can work fine for you. Now it will be completely closed and will leave a slight opening. Adding more stuff to it makes it extremely bulky and just about fully open laying on its back. I would have appreciated if they actually instituted a “snap” or latch to keep it at bay and closed up.

Also it’s advertised as having an earpiece in various photos. Whereas I thought mines was a defect that got lost in the shuffle, there are countless reviews online with the same feature missing. Despite the fact I don’t usually hold my phone to my ear as I tend to use headphones, for the occasional call I may have to open the wallet which is of an inconvenient feeling. You can use it with the case closed but the conversation may sound a bit faint.

Final Thoughts

Depending on how this fits your Spigen SNAP Leather Wallet Case can work for you or against you. If you’re throwing in a couple of cards and some cash it’s great for your needs. If you’re going to go crazy and stuff it with your life then you may want to stay clear. Also if you’re not using a Bluetooth or headphones device to make calls then you may want to pass by the missing earpiece on the case. It is going for a prime price for $54.99 and comes in brown and black colorways.
