As the Wii U launch date approaches, gamers grow more anxious and Ubisoft is not letting us down; providing us with quite a few games at launch. At E3, Ubisoft announced Rayman Legends, Just Dance 4 and the highly anticipated Assassins Creed 3. With other games such as Rabbids Land, and Sports Connection; Ubisoft has something for everyone in the family.

I was a bit skeptical about the Wii U, but Ubisoft is quick to change your mind. I recently got to experience Rayman Legends and Zombie U. The Wii U Game Pad controller adds a whole new level of interaction to the game. Obviously there isn’t much time to get into the game during a demo period. But there was enough time to see how the Wii U Game Pad controller comes into play in these new titles. I felt comfortable holding the controller. It wasn’t heavy nor did it strain my palms or wrists (something I was sure would happen). Ubisoft plans to launch seven games along with Wii U this Fall.

ZOMBI U
Zombi U fits well into the zombie craze going on. The game is built with the Wii U in mind. It takes advantage of all the Wii U GamePad controller has to offer. The graphics were amazing. The storyline is interesting. If you die, you wake up as another person; your last character is a zombie. The Wii U controller is your “Bug-Out Bag”; survival bag with maps, meds, and other tools. The game even interacts with your online community. It informs them when you die so they can look for your bug-out bag.

ASSASSIN’S CREED III
Assassin’s Creed III was the game that everyone wanted to demo. The graphics are simply amazing! Using “Anvil Next” technology (made exclusively for Assassin’s Creed III), the player will get have a more realistic experience. Animations and game-play will really come to life. With new weapons such as tomahawks, and new firearms; combat becomes a lot more interesting.

RAYMAN LEGENDS
Rayman Legends the Wii U Controller is used for survival tactics as well. Killing enemies and clearing paths. Have all your friends and/or family playing; as this game uses a GamePad controller and up to four Wii Remotes. Players can leave or rejoin without interruption. I love that you can continue playing the game even from the controller pad with the TV off.

MARVEL AVENGERS BATTER FOR EARTH
Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth was my favorite game to try out. I played the Xbox Kinect version. With twenty different characters to choose from; you’re bound to find your favorite. There are six different game modes from Arcade to Co-Op to Tournament mode. I enjoyed doing the “Hulk Smash” and really “punching” and “kicking” my opponent. The Kinect sensor didn’t fail (as expected) and the moves were played out in real-time without lagging. With bonuses to unlock and a variety of super attacks the game will never tire and keep the fun going for hours. (Available for Wii U and Kinect for Xbox Live)

ROCKSMITH
I think Rocksmith is going to be a hit with gamers who liked “Guitar Hero” and “Rockband” Stepping it up a notch, Rocksmith is the first game that lets you plug-in a real guitar to your gaming console. A real guitar; meaning real lessons! With mini-games for learning scales or finger dexterity you will master your skill in no time. (Available for PS3 and Xbox 360)

JUST DANCE 4
Let’s not forget Ubisoft’s hit Just Dance. Just Dance 4 comes with the “Just Create” option enhanced the dance battle will be a lot more serious. The fourth main installment to this very popular dance game comes with “Battle Mode” which offers alternate moves for each dancer. The Wii U version of the game will include “Puppet Master” mode where the player with the Wii U controller gets to manipulate the dance routine. So far fifteen tracks have been confirmed. (Available for Wii U, Wii, Kinect for Xbox 360, PS3)

Ubisoft is really supporting the Wii U launch. I am a little more excited about Wii U this October and I might not wait around to get it. There are so many games to choose from. They haven’t left Playstation and Xbox 360 behind. Their interactive games are pretty much available for every type of gamer on each console.
