The PENTAX K-01 hasn’t exactly hit it off with many in the looks department, but I think it’s because the K-01 requires a very special owner that can appreciate its rather unique Marc Newson designed style. I have, until recently, only seen it in photos and thought it looked rather strange and toyish. That was until I actually received one to review and I can say now that it isn’t what I first thought it would be. It has character and really needs to be seen and felt to be appreciated.

With that said, PENTAX is releasing a special limited edition Marc Newson designed camera pouch for the K-01 that will be available this week exclusively from PENTAX for $300. I’m not sure how many there will be available, but I’m assuming it won’t be many.

“Marc Newson designed and contoured this sporty pouch to specifically house the Marc Newson-designed K-01 ILC and smc PENTAX-DA 40mm F2.8 XS lens. The pouch features a unique locking drawstring closure and Newson’s signature embossed on the side, as well as a camera strap that can be conveniently threaded through the bag for fast and easy access to the K-01 camera within.”
