Lensbaby Announces Availability of its Pro Effects Kit

Not everyone might know about Lensbaby and their products, but they’ve carved themselves quite a niche over the years with their unique lenses and accessories. Lensbaby now offers a new Pro Effects Kit that basically introduces you to some of the best in the Lensbaby product lineup. What you get is the Lensbaby Composer Pro with Sweet 35 Optic, the Edge 80 Optic, Macro Converters, Lens Cleaning Cloth and the Lensbaby System Bag. What this means is that you’ll be able to take photos in a wide range of situations.

Composer Pro Specs

• Refined metal ball design delivers ultra-smooth focus and tilt control

• Focuses from approximately 7.5” to infinity from the front of the optic when used with Composer, 6.5” with Scout, and 3” with Muse and Control Freak
• 4 optically coated glass elements, in three groups
• 46mm front threads (will only work with the Lensbaby Macro Converter and not the 37mm Lensbaby Accessories)

Edge 80 Optic Specs:

• Focal Length: 80mm
• 12-blade internal aperture, controlled by dial on the front of the optic
• Aperture range from f/2.8 through f/22
• Flat field of focus optic (when tilted, creates a slice of shart focus, bordered by blur)
• Minimum focusing distance:  approximately 17″ when the optic is extended forward in macro mode and fully tilted
• Maximum focusing distance: infinity
• 5 multi-coated glass elements, in four groups
• 46mm front threads (will only work with the Lensbaby Macro Converter and not the 37mm Lensbaby Accessories)

Macro Converter Specs:

• The Lensbaby Macro Converters includes one 8mm converter & one 16mm converter
• Stacked together they become a 24mm converter
• Compatible with all Lensbaby lens bodies and optics

• Composer Pro with Sweet 35 Optic- The Composer Pro refines and enhances the popular and award winning Lensbaby Composer by upgrading the swivel ball and focus mechanism to provide professional performance and delivers ultra-smooth focus and tilt control.  The Sweet 35 Optic is a 35mm f/2.5 selective focus optic with a 12-blade adjustable aperture that creates a tack sharp sweet spot of focus surrounded by blur.
• Edge 80 Optic- When tilted, this 80mm f/2.8 flat field of focus optic, with a 12-blade adjustable aperture, delivers a slice of tack sharp focus through the image bordered by a soft blur. When pointed straight ahead, Edge 80 can be used like a straight lens. 

• Macro Converters- This set contains one 8mm converter and one 16mm converter. Stack them together to make a 24mm converter. When used with the Sweet 35 the focus range is 1.63” to 3.25” and with the Edge 80 the focus range is 9”-13.25”.
