I got the chance to go to a screening of this film and was pleasantly surprised. This romantic comedy, directed by William Gluck, is set for worldwide release July 22 and is starring Justin Timberlake (Dylan) and Mila Kunis (Jamie). Dylan and Jamie are both going through a dry spell and decide that adding sex to their friendship is what they both need. They are convinced and promise each other that unlike every other Hollywood romantic comedy adding sex to their friendship won’t change or complicate anything. Even though Jamie is a romantic and believes and Prince Charming and Dylan believes in the complete opposite.

I loved this film. I am a huge Justin and Mila fan and their performance in this film was no different for me. I think they make an awesome pair. A lot of people have compared this to the film No Strings Attached starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman-I can say the two are nothing alike in my opinion. It’s really not even in the same arena. No Strings is more PG-13 and FWB is more R. The plot is nothing new really, but the writing, acting and substories is what sets it apart from the rest and makes is priceless. Be warned, I wouldn’t advise taking your children to see this film, especially if you haven’t had “the talk” yet. There is a lot of sexual innuendo-well who am I kidding not even innuendo just all out sex. I do appreciate they place just as must emphasis on the actual friendship as the sexual aspect of the relationship. It’s a movie I would take a date to I think it will open the door to some worthwhile conversation.

The ensemble cast included Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Patricia Clarkson and Jenna Elfman. I must admit Woody was probably my favorite character. This movie includes a couple of flash mob scenes; a Kris Kross impression and some touching family moments that might make you want to call your parents.

I definitely recommend seeing this movie when it comes out on July 22. I plan on buying it to add to my collection when it’s released. I definitely give it 4 out of 5 kisses. I only took away one because I couldn’t take my 11 year old to see this. Enjoy and tell us your thoughts when you check it out!
