I was completely amped to see the movie Why Did I Get Married Too from the first trailer I saw released last year. I haven’t been able to make it yet but after watching this new video from Janet it is on my to do list for this week.
It’s an easy breezy ballad that reminds me of old school Janet. The main layout of the video was simple but fitting for the song I think. The message of the song is that in a relationship nothing should come between you as long as you have trust and communication. This is true-however, the movie clips of what appears to be domestic violence and Janet’s hammer pants just take away from the song to me. I just felt like the emotion from what was going on in the movie and the actual song just didn’t mesh for me. Other than that I’m loving the song.
